Mohul Mukherjee was born to Rabindranath Mukherjee and Krishna Mukherjee, Kolkata. She started her training under the great Bharatanatyam exponent Bangavibhushan Dr. Guru Smt. Thankamani kutty of the Tanjavur bani.

Mohul is an empanelled artist of ICCR ( Indian Council of Cultural Relations), A grade artist of EZCC (The Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre) and graded Artist of Doordarshan Kendra, Kolkata. She is a member of Kalamandalam Performing wing, Kolkata. She has done lot of leading roles in Kalamandalam, Kolkata's dance productions.

She has performed in leading institutions like Tamil Isai Sangam, Madurai, Pollachi and other cultural organisations in India, in solo as well as with her students. She has performed in UTSAV Music's productions "Ganga to Kaveri", "Layam, Lasyam, Lavanyam". She has performed in the Naadaneeranjanam of SVBC ( the brainchild of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam to showcase the great Indian heritage in dance and music especially its bhakthi tradition), and has choreographed on contemporary issues.
